Stationery designed for Heath Park

This decorative alphabet was produced by Nigel Bents, Paul Oakley and Jonny Holmes at Chelsea College of Art & Design. Based on a downloaded Bodoni Poster font, it was designed digitally by students using Illustrator, laser cut out of 3mm plywood by Cut Laser Cut in Vauxhall and mounted on type-high block by Stef Willis in the college workshop.
It was then printed at Graham Bignell’s New North Press in Hoxton. There they will remain; and in time, no doubt, be added to. An example of a digital start leading to an analogue finish.Limited numbers available for purchase, get in contact if interested.

“The small museum, housed on the first floor of a shopping centre, is a fantastic archive of signage and lettering. It’s only open for a few hours each week (1pm to 3pm Thursday to Saturday), but it’s definitely worth a trip if you’re in the city. Here are a few photos of the bits we saw.”
